A unique late season honey collected from a wetland area along the Minnesota River. This honey has a red currant mocha-like flavor. Highly recommended on plain yogurt or served on a cheese plate. Voted internally as the best honey of the 2018 season!

Complex, interesting variety

Honey came crystallized (as expected) and greenish-amber in color. It had a robust taste in the mouth, a vegetal "green" impact similar to green bananas. This ripened on the palate to a more fruity "green" taste, more like kiwi to my senses than current. Meanwhile a tingly menthol under-taste emerged, which makes me think that the marsh that the bees visited had a good stand of wild mint. That minty under-taste pleasantly lingered a long time in my mouth. It is an enjoyable honey to sample by itself, but so bold and complex that it's difficult to pair with other ingredients. As the description states, it may be best tasted alone, or with a neutral backing like plain yogurt. Perhaps also cream cheese or table water crackers.

Absolutely the best honey anywhere!

This is my favorite, hands down since I first tried it in 2017. My husband even ordered it for Valentine's Day for me!! I am just desperate to be able to order jars bigger than 2 oz for shipment!

Unique Depth!

When opening my last jar of this honey, it is immediately added to my next order. This one is saved for last like dessert for me. Breaking the seal on a fresh jar, I cannot resist dipping my spoon in it to enjoy purely on it's own. Can't explain why it's so special. It just is!
