Prairie Flowers Comb Honey

Year

$13.75

Our Prairie Flowers Comb Honey is made by our honeybees in late July to August, when remnants of the Minnesota prairie flowers are in bloom. Darker than a mid-summer honey, it often has a pleasant sweet honey flavor reminiscent of freshly cut hay or black tea.

Raw comb honey is a traditional form of raw honey that preserves the honey flavors inside the comb and is fully edible.

The beeswax comb network is made by the worker bees a few days before they fill it with fresh honey and then cap off the surface with more beeswax. We simply cut the slabs of fresh honeycombs from the wood frames and then into smaller pieces. No other processing step or heat is used to prepare these sweet masterpieces of nature for an ultimate raw comb honey flavor experience!

So yummy

First time I have had Honey Comb and it was amazing! I also ordered one for a friend as a gift, who regularly buys Honey Comb from farmer's market and she said this was also one of the best she has had. From a newbie to a Honey Comb connoisseur- this gets high marks and I will be ordering again =)

Worth every penny!

I chose this site to buy from because they are in our neighboring state and they had a well set up site. I have never had honey comb before , I was blown away! wow! I missed out for so any years! Even my husband loved it! I I was always tempted to ask the beekeepers who use our land for some, but haven't yet.
I came back and with the exception of the one sold out bought on of each! There is a difference and the taste has a uniqueness that is very nice. Great packaging!
This is a real treat!

Thank you for the kind words. This year was an exceptional year for producing cut comb AKA edible honey comb, and the range of different floral sources we made comb honey from will not be soon forgotten or likely duplicated!
