Our honeybees collect pollen from trees, shrubs, and plants to use as their primary source of protein, fat, and minerals. We collect the surplus pollen in 5-day time intervals from spring to fall from our hives here in Minnesota, marking down the location and date on each jar. This variety is made with August to September bloomers such as jewelweed, asters and buckwheat.
Bee pollen's texture is soft, as it dissolves easily in smoothies, yogurt, or on salads. Another popular use is on whole grain cereal for the ultimate healthy boost!
