Our honeybees collect pollen from trees, shrubs, and plants to use as their primary source of protein, fat, and minerals. We collect the surplus pollen in 5-day time intervals from spring to fall from our hives here in Minnesota, marking down the location and date on each jar. This variety is made from Sweet Clover, Aster, Basswood tree, thistle, chicory, cattail, alsike clover and alfalfa. Bee pollen's texture is soft, as it dissolves easily in hot cereal, smoothies, yogurt, or on salads.
Keep refrigerated for best storage.
